Angel Thunder 2014

U.S. Airmen and Marines, along with German and Swedish Air Force Rangers, train together on various shooting tactics during Exercise ANGEL THUNDER at Three Points Firing Range in Tucson, Ariz., May 12, 2014. ANGEL THUNDER is the only exercise in the Department of Defense covering personnel recovery training across the full spectrum of irregular and conventional warfare and has become the world’s largest and most complex personnel recovery exercise. Through the use of joint training, members are able to hone their development of the four core functions of personnel recovery which include preparing, planning, execution, and adaptation. ANGEL THUNDER is designed to provide state of the art rescue training for the total Air Force rescue community, as well as Joint U.S. Military, federal government agencies, local communities, non-governmental agencies and allied nations.
